Robert Richard is the Chief Information Officer at Athena Global Advisors and a member of the Executive Leadership team. Robert oversees strategy around information security, compliance, and technology, and plays a key role in shaping operational efficiency, risk management, and long-term strategic planning.

In his time at Athena, Robert has been at the forefront of technical decision-making, infrastructure planning, and system architecture initiatives. Prior to his current role, Robert began at Athena as a contractor. He quickly worked his way onto the Athena team through demonstrated expertise in the security space and dedication to excellence, most notably in spearheading the company’s ISO certification.

With over two decades of experience in digital forensics, eDiscovery, information security, and compliance, Robert has worked across the aerospace, energy, manufacturing, and financial service industries offering leadership and guidance. He has served as an expert witness in multiple high-profile litigations, providing testimony to the United States Department of Justice in cross-border investigations, in addition to leading compliance intiatives and forensic analyses for Fortune 500 clients.

Robert holds an A.S. degree in computer information systems technology from the New England Institute of Technology. Outside of work, Robert is passionate about woodworking, music, and exploring outdoors. His work ensures a scalable, secure technology environment for the Athena team.
