Jennifer Buchness is the Senior Director of Human Resources at Athena Global Advisors and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. She is responsible for developing and implementing human resource strategies aligned with overall business goals, including workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development. Jen has 20 years of experience in organizational dynamics, leadership, marketing, and campaign execution.

Previously, Jen was a leader on the Events and Experiences team at Athena, responsible for hiring, resourcing, and employee retention. She supported the Comcast Impact & Inclusion Team and contributed to DE&I Day for three years. Jen was also instrumental in organizing the inaugural Project UP Summit in 2022, and again in 2023, which included a surprise keynote from President Obama.

Before Athena, Jen spent 12 years at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton school, developing event and marketing strategies to engage over 100,000 alumni. She also planned and executed Wharton Global Forums in locations like Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Paris, and India.

Jen understands the importance of powerful leadership and works hard to build an inclusive and professional environment across all departments. She utilizes creativity and charm to drive productivity and efficiency within key partnerships and relationships.

Jen holds a BA in journalism from the University of Maryland and a master's degree in organizational dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of work, she is an avid gardener and started her own micro flower farm at her home in New Jersey.
