Mary Jackson joins Athena in the Center of Excellence in Providence, assisting the COE team in managing the day-to-day demands of their growing research and reporting operation. Most recently, Mary has put her talents to use in restaurant and hospitality management, balancing difficult tasks and seeing them through to completion. She served as the bar manager at Alforno Restaurant and at the Coffee Depot in Warren, Rhode Island, a favorite of Maggy's near her home in Providence. Mary's fastidious attention to detail, her talent for customer service, and her ability to keep her cool in chaotic environments piqued Maggy’s recruiting interest.
In her new position as a specialist at Athena, Mary will put her passion for building team and community, her small-business acumen, and her communication, time-management, and proactive planning skills to excellent use. She is also assisting in candidate screening and recruitment. When not at Athena, Mary will likely be leading a yoga class, adding to more than 200 hours of teaching experience in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga.
