Prior to joining Athena, Catherine spent four years with the National Football League’s Community Relations department. While at the NFL, Catherine helped manage the League’s core community relations national partnerships and platforms. Her purview included the NFL’s military appreciation initiative, Salute to Service, for which she oversaw the relationships with five military nonprofit partners and developed community engagement events across the League’s annual tentpole events, including the Super Bowl, Pro Bowl and the NFL Draft. Catherine also played an integral role in the NFL’s 100th season philanthropic initiative, Huddle for 100, helping to run a season-long campaign which rallied millions of NFL fans to give their time back to their communities. In addition, Catherine served in a public relations role at the NFL, helping to execute partnership announcements, pitch national stories to media about the League’s philanthropic efforts, and work with the 32 NFL clubs to tell their stories and highlight their community work at the national level.
Catherine was raised in Denver, Colorado. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Cornell University, where she also minored in Business and played Division I lacrosse. In her spare time, she enjoys all things food, fitness, racket sports, and traveling.
