Alanna began her career teaching English as a second language abroad. Her interest in globalization and its effects on local communities, led eventually to a graduate degree at the School of International Service at American University. Alanna has worked on both long- and short-term projects in the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and Cuba, and brings over five years of education and project management experience to her current role at Athena.
Alanna is now expert in managing multi-tiered client communications, strategic marketing, and reporting functions at Athena. In her current role, she specializes in executing B2B communication strategies and packaging data sets to track performance of client-facing campaigns, offering recommendations for program adjustments in real time.
Alanna earned a B.A. in English from Howard University and a M.A. in Intercultural and International Communication from American University in Washington, D.C. Outside of the office, Alanna enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and trying out new recipes in her kitchen.
